Today I'll tell you about a unique architecture that is obviously in the long list of heritage items of Yvelines and more specifically in Saint Germain en Laye, and so (bearing drum ...):
THE CASTLE Hennemont
For History: The successor to a medieval priory and the castle of Baron Larcange, a new building is built on the initiative of the pharmacist Henri Cannone (1867-1961), inventor of the pellet Valda. Construction, far from being relevant to an architectural style specific and exclusive, is characterized by its eclecticism. The front facade is from the neo-Gothic and follows the concept that the internal structure of a building or outside apprehensible. The package includes three rounds of stairs, the first is like a dungeon-like niches and battlements, while revealing elements of classical and Renaissance decor. The front garden, with a main building flanked by two pavilions, is more of the early seventeenth century. The symmetry of the whole is not rigorous, the flag on the right is dominated by a pinion which evokes the early sixteenth century. The building now houses the International School.
