Castle Cravent
Map to Castle Cravent

This castle dating from the eighteenth century was built on the site of an ancient feudal castle destroyed in the sixteenth century.

The building consists of a rectangular main building at two levels, flanked by square towers. The windows are distributed symmetrically and orderly in the purest classical style inherited from the seventeenth century. A third level loft is visible, with small windows in the roof slate.
The only ornamentation of the building is a small triangular pediment pierced by a central oculus, the front facade of the roof.
And at the end of the nineteenth it was not acquired A. Broca Hospital in Paris surgeon and son of famed anthropologist Paul Broca, who undertook many changes and additions as the veranda and then forward it to his family and descendants.

The second will soon come looking for an idea that I put a little less time to be discovered ........ LOL ...........:):);) For Amaury

and all those who want to learn more about the geographical position of this castle here is a screenshot on its position relative to Mantes la Jolie (Yvelines northwest) to +

Castle Mystery Castle Champfleury

Hello,

Today I changed a little method, or rather I add one to my habits, since I walk on the net I found myself to participate in quizzes on different themes ( riddles whose photos of blog Annaïg I urge you to visit) and I, personally, I liked very much so I wanted to share this with you and create on the same principle articles about castles mysteries.

The principle is simple: I put a picture of a castle with no index and the goal is to find the name of the castle and the town where he is, I answer the comments and answers yes or no, if after three days nobody thought I would add an index and so on every three days until someone gets it right answer and then I would publish an article providing a full description of the monument.

The castle will be used in Yvelines (including descriptive articles will be on this blog) as well as the Morbihan (including descriptive articles will be on my other blog Photos Morbihan)
Click to access first then Castle Mystery up to you and good luck.

Reviews Of The Easton Sv12 - Ssv1b

introduction to careers in poissy

Hello,

After a short week away I return to you to tell you about a monument that accompanies the story of the village of Carrières-sous-Poissy for nearly four centuries now.

This monument is the Castle Champfleury Here is a beautiful photograph:

( Click here for more photos of this castle)

This castle has seen successor owners and the surrounding landscape during those four centuries, from what I could gather such information, I'll be here a short chronology of his owners and uses it has served:

  • 1630: Construction by Roland COUDRAY: A burgesses enriched by the leather trade).
  • -----: The property passes to the Louise CUVIER BUSSIERE by descendants of the family COUDRAY.
  • 1750: The property is returned to the Melanie FARE Marquise de BRIDGES CHAV.
  • -----: is around the RIVERS family to be the proud owners of this building.
  • end of the eighteenth: the new mistress of the place is the lady of Turgot St. CLAIR: widow account Boisgelin.
  • 1829: Mr. VERDUN.
  • -----: Mr. Avenel to the VINE.
  • -----: The Duke and Duchess of Bojano.
  • 1901: Account RONCERAY.
  • 1922, the castle was bought by an American work that:
  • 1923: dedicated to the education and training of young girls of different nationalities whose fathers had given their lives during the First World War.
  • 1933: Franciscans settled there by making it a seminary where they studied mostly philosophy and theology while maintaining the parish services.
  • 1955: the castle was sold to the department of Seine et Oise (now called: Yvelines) who made a home for young workers, while the rest of the estate was divided up and shared between two farmers and two real estate agencies who built residential buildings and other hiding and the sight of the castle from various angles.
  • Today: Champfleury Castle is owned by the administration of Health and Social Affairs, which used to house families in difficulty and in the process of reintegration.

I hope this information you are interested and I urge you to enrich or to comment on it and why not write more articles on the theme Heritage of Yvelines in photos (for the latter proposal, I invite you to contact me so that I can authorize you as an author of this blog)
